I am deeply honoured to represent the interests of the people of regional
Western Australia.

The name of my electorate is the Mining and Pastoral Region. It spans from Kununurra in the north and Exmouth in the west, and all the way down to Eucla in the east and Norseman in the south. Not only is my electorate the largest in WA, but it's also one of the largest in the world.

In late 2021, the McGowan Government, reneging on their commitment to regional voters, passed changes to our electoral laws abolishing geographic regions for the Legislative Council such as mine.

That means that, at the present moment, I will be one of the last members of the Mining and Pastoral Region, and my electorate will no longer exist after the next state election.

That being said, my commitment to regional Western Australia remains resolute, and I will continue to represent the interests of the people of regional Western Australia as best as I can.
